"2 year old dog wouldn't sit on whistle or sit to watch 2 birds in Derby. Same dog at 2.5 years old placing in Qualifiying. I firmly believe line manners gave us the edge we needed. All thanks to Randy and his standard."

"Randy, I just wanted to tell you how pleased I am with Karla Jane!!...When I first started training with you, I just wanted her to be able to have line manners enough to become an accomplished AKC Master Hunter! Then with leaving her with you and with all the work you did with her, she became Qualified All Age at the third trial I ran with her, and the next two she jammed!! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would have that.

Thank you so much for giving me the confidence and the tools that you know I needed to be competitive in the dog world! Susan Shaw with my little Karla Jane, Qualified All Age!! Yeah!!"

"I sought Randy's help when I could no longer complete a field trial with my female, Charlee, because of her line manners and overall trainability. In five weeks, he had her working beautifully for us both. In the next few months, she completed 4 of 7 Qualifiying stakes, one of which was a win.

Beyond his work with Charlee, Randy's help improved my overall handling ability and knowledge of training retrievers. He is a highly skilled and disciplined trainer who is rewarded most by seeing his handlers advance."

"In dog training it's tough to take on someone else's problem child. A dog that won't move with you on line, can't concentrate, creeps, whines and barks are problems few amature trainers have the tools to deal with. This pretty much describes me and my dog Smoke. I didn't have the knowledge to deal with the bad line manners and other problems so Smoke was benched. I thought there must be someone out there who had the knowledge and ability to get through to this dog so I didn't give up hope.

Randy agreed to take Smoke and put him through the 'drill'. I didn't have any expectations initially but in short time Randy called me to have a look at Smoke's progress. It was very clear that Randy's training methods were getting through to him and it was an easy decision to keep Smoke in training and see how far he could go. For a high powered dog, with very bad old habits burned into his brain, training went far better than I had expected. Randy continued to make progress and it looked like Smoke may have improved enough to justify entering a few trials. The next season Smoke started running the Qualifying."

"What a thrill to go to the line with a dog you know can do the work and with the confidence that you will be able to work as a team to be successful. Thank you Randy Bohn and Rammin Retrievers for taking on me and my dogs and seeing our potential. You have not only trained my dogs but trained me to be a better handler. As a result, I am confident Scarlet, Bear and I will be a competitive team for many years to come."

"Randy Bohn's boot camp for line manners program has been an extremely worthwhile learning experience for me, my wife and all our dogs.

Our dog Bode who is going through the program is a very talented dog and has a bright future ahead of him. The program focuses on holding blind manners, noise issues and breaking. Your dog learns to focus on you, move with you, and respect you as the handler.

There is one thing inexperienced handlers need to know...line manners are the most important thing before doing work in the field. The dog will mark and perform better because of this. Randy has an excellent program to correct those issues to perfection. He wants to see you and your dog succeed."

"...Randy doesn't train dogs alone or handlers alone. He trains a close, two-way communication between dog and handler. Through training with Randy, I've learned that sending a dog from line is a cooperative venture between handler and dog. Randy teaches is dogs and allows his dogs to teach him. Unlike many trainers, he doesn't train by formula. He tailors his training to the needs of each dog on the truck..."
